About fake emails

Learn how to spot phishing and fake emails pretending to be from Democratic Alliance (DA) and protect your account.

How to identify fake emails

  • Check the sender domain. Official emails come from @da-app.co.za. Be wary of look-alike domains.
  • Hover links before clicking. Verify they point to https://da-app.co.za or trusted destinations.
  • Unexpected password reset or payment requests are red flags.
  • Poor grammar, urgent threats, and attachments you didn't request are suspicious.

What to do if you receive one

  • Do not click links or download attachments.
  • Report the email to security@da-app.co.za.
  • Delete the email and empty your trash.
  • If you clicked a link or entered credentials, immediately change your password.
